How To Send Large Files For Free

Now-a-days there are online websites to send large files from one end to other. Common problems with those sites can be band width of the website server won't be good or may be they will ask you for registration and many more. In this post I am going to tell the easiest and the best way to send your files to your friends.

In this post I will be explaining about HTTP File Server(HFS). Who ever knows about it close this post and use it, if you don't know then don't worry. Spend your valuable seconds(Less than 60) and send your files safely.

For this we need a software called HFS. You can download HFS here(600Kb). If you are unable to download from this link then google for HFS and download it. It's a portable version. Download HFS.exe and open it. It looks like following image.

1. Open hfs.exe
2. Drag and drop your  folder  on to right panel of HFS(see following image) which ever you want to send.
3. Send the ip address that is shown in image(See fig, some thing like 11.11.11.11.).
Done

One more advantage is that if you are not sure which file you want to send (which file your friend wants to take from your system) then you can drag and drop whole folder in hfs so that he/she can choose whatever file he/she wants.

Some times 80 may be blocked or used for some other purposes then click on Port:80 button and change the number(Enter four digit number, more than 1024) then send your ip with the port number.
